Mission Statement for the Islips Feed the Islips
This group is being established as a way to help our neighbors all throughout the Town of Islip. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, local food banks and food pantries have seen an unprecedented increase in need. Partnering with the longtime beloved 501(c)(3) non-profit, Islip Food for Hope, Inc., we will be raising funds for three purposes: (1) to purchase food from well known Long Island based food distribution companies who will deliver the food to designated food banks and pantries on a rotating basis; (2) dedicate ten (10%) percent of all funds raised to the Islip Food For Hope, Inc. 2020 Thanksgiving Breakfast (an event unlikely to be held but which raises funds to donate hundreds of much needed baskets of Thanksgiving Food to those in need); and (3) hold our own Food distribution event later in the summer of 2020. We will accept donations via pay pal or check with the link to be published on the Facebook Page. Our goal is to sustain a flow of food to those in need in our community for the foreseeable future.
Thank you. #togetherwecandoanything.

Our 2020 Sponsors
Hunger isn't seasonal, which is why our year-round food drive gets so much attention. Devote an afternoon to stocking our pantry and see first-hand the families we help daily. There are estimates that 1 in 8 people nationwide need help from their local food banks.
For more than 20 years, Islip Food for Hope, Inc. has devoted its energy to passionately advocating for the hungry, needy and politically under-represented members of our global family. Find out how you can contribute to the future of someone in need through donations of money and time.
